The first session thereafter will begin with a 90-minutes consultation during which you will tell me about the issue(s) you would like to address.
This consultation is a very important part of future therapy as it establishes our all important client-therapist alliance.
The more honest you are about what you are experiencing, the better I am going to be able to tailor your therapy so that we can work on whatever is the most optimum solution for you to derive the most benefits from the sessions.
You will not be required to go into too much details. However, a frank summary of what you are experiencing, how it affects your everyday life, and what you hope to achieve in therapy is important. The goal is not to keep you in therapy indefinitely, but to also give you practical and effective tools to enable you to cope better in everyday situation.
I will ask you to complete a few forms to give me an initial understanding of your feelings, thoughts and behaviours and We will discuss your responses.
I am going to tailor your therapy so that we can work on whatever issue
will then devise a clear treatment plan that resumes your goals and objectives and discuss this plan with you. If you are happy and agree with the proposed treatment plan, then we will proceed accordingly.
Consultations thereafter are 60 minutes. Depending on your issue and your response to hypnotherapy, we might conclude the plan within 4-10 sessions – although you might like to come back every now and again for a "top up" if and when you feel the need!
Therapy can also be conducted via Skype in the comfort of your own home if you prefer. All that is necessary for successful hypnotherapy is a quiet space and a comfortable chair.
Flexible times are available to accommodate even the busiest schedule.
